Originally released in September 1984, Some Great Reward is the fourth studio album from Depeche Mode and a landmark in their early career. The record produced the global hit “People Are People,” which became their highest-charting single in the UK at the time and hit #1 in Germany, helping to establish the band’s international breakthrough.
The album also includes fan favorites such as “Somebody,” “Master and Servant,” and the haunting closer “Blasphemous Rumours.” With its mix of industrial textures, experimental electronics, and accessible pop hooks, Some Great Reward cemented Depeche Mode’s reputation as one of the most innovative acts of the 1980s.
