Our Origin Story
Feels So Good (FSG) began as a humble venture in a small East Texas town, sparked by the shared vision of two best friends. It all started with a unique opportunity to manage a local venue and book bands. This experience naturally led us to design shirts for our community, igniting a passion that has grown into the vibrant brand we are today.
Our journey from designing shirts in a small town to establishing a thriving brand in Austin has been marked by creativity and perseverance. We quickly realized that the shirts we made resonated with people, capturing the spirit of community and the love for local music. This realization became the foundation of FSG, driving us to explore new horizons and embrace the vibrant culture around us.
Community is at the heart of everything we do. Our mission revolves around celebrating the little niches and joys that make life feel so good. What started with a focus on music has evolved to embrace a broader range of subcultures and niche interests, making FSG a melting pot of creative expression.
We are passionate about supporting small artists and engaging with the cool, creative people we meet along the way. Whether it's collaborating with local talent or curating unique events, we are dedicated to being a hub of discovery and artistic celebration. One of our proudest moments was organizing a local art show that featured up-and-coming artists, giving them a platform to showcase their work and connect with the community.
Our Creative Process and Inspiration
Our creative process is fueled by our passion for design and community. We draw inspiration from a variety of sources—traveling, stepping out of our usual environment, and thriving on the changing creative landscape presented by fellow artists. Also, pop culture and the intriguing things we find cool at any given moment constantly influence us.
For instance, one of our favorite projects, the C.E.R.N. shirt,' it was inspired by the solar eclipse happening around the same time they turned the whole CERN thing back on. We had the idea at around 4pm on a Friday and just sat and pieced the whole thing together to drop for the weekend.
In a competitive space like Austin, we take immense pride in our ability to continue doing what we love and are thankful for our customers. Despite challenges in our journey, we have successfully carved out a space where creativity and community thrive.
