I have been obsessed with t-shirts since I was a child; whether it was someone in an MTV music video wearing a Marc Bolan “Mosquitohead” shirt or a film character wearing a Vivienne Westwood Seditionaries tee (years before I knew who any of those people were). Growing up in the 80s and 90s there was no way to search for these things online, so I naturally incorporated the bits and pieces I found in various media along the way and tried to make them my own. My inspiration was found in the pages of Thrasher, Lowrider, Penthouse, Hustler, flyers, liner notes, inserts, public access television, Nickelodeon, MTV, and graffiti in the tunnels and ditches we played and skated in.
My main intention with my art has always been to find connection and purpose, and to make YOU smile.
