Saigon Sinners

Saigon Sinners, a blend of garage rock n’ roll, psych and blues. Best enjoyed in moments of passion and grace.

Rooted from Houston, Texas and Chinatown Houston this band has a foundation of at least 20 years of together since Anthony Hardey and Thomas “T- Bird” Knierien have been in each others bands since high school.

After the formation of The Levitators with Anthony Hardey and Andrew Sibal, T-Bird went on to start The Bolos (yippee ki yay records, Six Tonnes De Chair Records). Touring the west coast garage rock circuit and after time had run its course, Saigon Sinners was founded after a jam with Garrett T. Capps, Juan Luna and Nick Valdez. Garrett had a blossoming career ahead of him and had world famous Christoper Smart (Lung Overcoat, Masters of Love, Mechanical Walking Robot Boy) step in until David Lynch’s muse Chrysta Bell needed him. Harvey McLaughlin(Hickoids) and Oscar Favian(Whitedog)would even join as well from time to time.

Many years they toured back and forth between the valley and central Texas. Playing rock n’ roll bars and honky tonks.

Life and movement called T-Bird and Anthony back to Austin, Texas in 2024 where they spent their early twenties sneaking into 2010 sxsw showcases and hitting up every unofficial sxsw rock n’ roll showcase they could. 

Now a little wiser in 2025, with virtuoso guitar player David Kent( Slow Season, Heavy Velvet) and Ben “Beng” Goodman(Futon Blonde, Cowboy Cold) on bass, Saigon Sinners keeps on chooglin’ on because its only rock n’ roll and they like it.
